The Work
As the Microbiology Laboratory Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our state-of-the-art micro lab. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing laboratory operations and ensuring adherence to the Quality System Manual.
- Testing samples according to customer specifications and releasing results.
- Identifying and minimizing deviations in testing activities.
- Conducting in-house equipment calibrations and internal audits.
- Executing proficiency testing schemes and maintaining training records.
- Ensuring the effectiveness of laboratory activities and management systems.
- Updating and maintaining documentation as required.
- Supervising and resolving in-house issues.
- Monitoring changes in International Standard methods and validating methods.
- Driving improvements through audits and proficiency results analysis.
- Collaborating on factory trends and advising on microbiological issues.
- Challenging existing processes and enhancing testing capabilities.
The Person
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced professional with:
- A scientific qualification, ideally in microbiology.
- 5+ years of micro lab experience, preferably in a management role.
- Audit participation experience.
- Strong ability to record test results accurately and follow safety procedures.
- Excellent teamwork, people management, and communication skills.
- Adaptability to laboratory developments and a keen attention to detail.
- Self-driven with good organizational skills.
