The Work

As the Microbiology Laboratory Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our state-of-the-art micro lab. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing laboratory operations and ensuring adherence to the Quality System Manual.
  • Testing samples according to customer specifications and releasing results.
  • Identifying and minimizing deviations in testing activities.
  • Conducting in-house equipment calibrations and internal audits.
  • Executing proficiency testing schemes and maintaining training records.
  • Ensuring the effectiveness of laboratory activities and management systems.
  • Updating and maintaining documentation as required.
  • Supervising and resolving in-house issues.
  • Monitoring changes in International Standard methods and validating methods.
  • Driving improvements through audits and proficiency results analysis.
  • Collaborating on factory trends and advising on microbiological issues.
  • Challenging existing processes and enhancing testing capabilities.

The Person

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced professional with:

  • A scientific qualification, ideally in microbiology.
  • 5+ years of micro lab experience, preferably in a management role.
  • Audit participation experience.
  • Strong ability to record test results accurately and follow safety procedures.
  • Excellent teamwork, people management, and communication skills.
  • Adaptability to laboratory developments and a keen attention to detail.
  • Self-driven with good organizational skills.
