A well-established company in West Cork is looking for a Packaging Operative to join their Production Team. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary, shift allowance, and opportunities for overtime.
Job Responsibilities
- Operating production lines, packing products, and building pallets to meet targets.
- Keeping the work area clean and safe by following all safety rules.
- Reporting safety issues, equipment problems, or quality concerns to the Production Supervisor.
- Carrying out safety checks, hygiene inspections, and other procedures as required.
- Working with the team to set up production lines, check product quality, and prepare materials.
- Following all food safety, hygiene, and manufacturing guidelines (GMPs, SOPs).
- Completing paperwork and records accurately.
- Supporting improvements in production, food hygiene, and housekeeping.
Skills and Experience Required
- Experience in manufacturing or food production is a plus.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot machinery is an advantage.
- Good attention to detail when inspecting, packing, and labeling products.
- Understanding of food hygiene and workplace cleanliness.
- A team player with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
