About Your New Job as a Senior NPD Technologist:
- Manage NPD initiatives, ensuring adherence to project timelines.
- Coordinate timely availability of new product samples and factory cost data for both internal and external presentations.
- Collaborate with various departments including marketing, operations, packaging, and business performance to ensure project delivery within set deadlines, budget, and quality standards.
- Procure ingredients and materials at competitive prices to meet budgetary needs.
- Stay updated on food trends in seafood, pork, and related industries to drive innovation.
- Demonstrate strong food expertise to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide necessary information for business planning, packaging, technical, and operational purposes, including conducting trials when necessary.
- Finalize product specifications, packaging, and artwork approval.
- Oversee the first production launch and obtain sign-off from relevant teams and customers.
What Skills You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in food science, Food Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role within the food industry
- Strong knowledge of food processing technologies, ingredients, and formulation principles and a passion for food.
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Experience in costing concept products, product specifications, and artwork sign-off is beneficial.
