Retail Sales Assistant – Trade/Agri/DIY/Construction/Safety
Location: The east side Galway City, the shop is very close to bus routes and has plenty of free parking.
Type of contract: Permanent
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm and Saturdays 8.30am to 2pm
Pay: €13 to €14.50 per hour depending on relevant experience

About Your New Job
- You will be greeting Customers entering the shop & assisting them with finding the goods they need
- Informing customers on the technical benefits of the products (these products will include; trade, building and DIY safety equipment)
- Processing Cash & Card Payments
- Locating stock in the Warehouse on site
- Reporting Discrepancies & Issues to Department Manager
- Dealing with Customer Refunds
- Experience operating a forklift is an advantage but this is not essential

What Skills/Experience You Need
- Previous experience working in Trades/Agriculture/Building/Safety/DIY or a similar role is desirable as you will be dealing with queries around related products.
- Polite, patient & helpful, the ideal applicant will have excellent people skills and have a friendly & engaging personality
- Flexible, reliable and Proactive attitude with the ability to bring new ideas/initiatives to the store.
