About Your New Employer:

Our client who are seeking an Investment Executive, to join their Kilkenny based office in a hybrid working model, and on a full-time permanent contract.

About Your New Job:

  • Involved in all aspects of completing new investments; sourcing dealflow, commercial and financial due diligence, assess risks, security and pitch internally, preparation of investment committee papers, negotiation, legal documents and transaction completion
  • Monitor investments and engage with the management teams within the portfolio companies to add value and support wherever possible. Potential for board observer and non-executive director roles.
  • Play a key role in leading fundraising activity for EII Funds and new debt platform, prepare fundraising plan, actively identify and approach potential funding partners, present to intermediaries, conduct phone and email campaigns to investors, manage inbound leads, manage marketing and PR
  • Support the firm in the approaching and structuring of new lending opportunities with a particular interest in aligning lending risk with revenues, asset quality and residual values.
  • Report internally directly to the Head of investments and will interact also with the Managing Director, the Investment Committee and the Board of Directors
  • Develop and manage marketing and PR initiatives to boost BVP’s profile among retail investors, fundraising partners, and with prospects in the Irish SME community 
  • Create reports for investors and intermediaries on the progress of investee companies and fund performance, digital and in-person investor communications
  • Ad hoc office administration as required e.g. developing collateral for prospective investors and partners, processing investor applications

Who you are:

  • Build relationships with portfolio companies independent of the Fund Manager’s Managing Director
  • Experience in commercial lending
  • Problem solver, explore strategic options, build consensus, engage non-execs, coordinate short term plans
  • Proactive engagement, structured interaction, reinforce governance practice, ensure reporting deadlines are met
  • Demonstrate keen awareness of priorities for balancing risk and reward
  • Make a meaningful contribution to sourcing new investments, through research, building relationships with leads who approach us, connections with co-investors
  • Had demonstrable interest in a cross section of new technology and preferably experience in renewable energy projects, assessing technology related ventures incl. AI , SaaS and services
  • Build a public profile through attendance at conferences, exhibitions
  • Build relationships with advisers, other investors, incubators, Enterprise Ireland
  • Genuine interest in technology/cleantech/sustainability, willingness to explore wider technology and industry trends, search for untapped opportunities
