About Your New Employer:

My client is an international firm that offers mobile internet connection services to tourists and international travellers around the world. They are in the process of expanding their global presence and currently setting up a Dublin office to help support global expansion.

They are searching for a Head of Legal and Regulatory affairs with start-up or scale-up proven experience.

 

About your new job:

Reporting to the CEO and working collaboratively with the CFO, the successful candidate will be responsible for all legal and regulatory matters, including setting collaboration with external parties on a worldwide basis, leading and recruiting the team to accomplish the objectives and setting legal best practices for our globally expanding organization.

 

Legal Responsibilities

  • As a point of contact between external retained lawyers and internal users;
  • Bridge the gap between legal comments and commercial requirements;
  • Provide internal users with comments on agreements from legal perspectives;
  • Prepare standard templates for frequently used agreements according to internal users’ requirements;
  • Prepare supplemental agreement and addendum;
  • Assist Product Team in preparing and maintaining standard customer terms and conditions and other relevant documents such as SLA, SLP and POC agreements;
  • Comment on customers’ proposed changes to the customer terms and conditions;
  • Review and comment on suppliers/licensing agreements, MSAs;
  • Assist in handling complaint/dispute cases and potential litigations;
  • Supervise, coach, and manage the performance of sub-ordinates

 

Regulatory affairs Responsibilities

  • Update information of licences granted by government authorities
  • Monitor the launching of any relevant ordinances and regulations
  • Play a liaison role between the regulators and the company and distribute the information collected from regulators to relevant internal parties
  • Handle the regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Handle ad hoc projects as assigned

 

Who you are:

  • Qualified Solicitor or Barrister
  • 10+ years working experience preferably in the telecom or IT field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, team-player
  • Strong analytical & supervisory skills; detail-minded and assertive
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and Spanish
  • Excellent networking and interpersonal skills as well as strong organizational skills and initiative
