Our client who is a leading insurance broker in Ireland are seeking a Commercial Underwriter Team Leader, to join their Dublin based office in a full-time permanent contract.
About Your New Job:
- Working closely with and reporting to the Commercial Underwriting Operations Manager the successful person will be results and service focused
- Support achievement of profitability and revenue targets per the annual plan.
- Support and implement Strategy in Commercial Business Underwriting.
- Develop and implement overall service level agreements to ensure excellent service is provided to Sales Branches and our Broker panel.
- Provide technical referral support to the team, Sales and Claims colleagues on technical queries.
- Implementing and report on quality assurance measures to ensure business is underwritten to the required standards.
- Implement, administer, and report to relevant stakeholders on underwriting strategies and objectives.
- Manage the performance of the team to support achievement of objectives.
- Ensure staff receive the appropriate training and development to optimise performance.
- Ensure all relevant regulatory requirements are met.
- Ability to manage and support a team in both operational and technical environments.
Who you are:
- CIP qualification.
- Minimum 5 years’ commercial insurance experience.
- Highly motivated, confident decision maker with ability to lead and empower others to do the same.
- Ability to lead a team and motivate team in a target driven environment.
- An excellent communicator with developed report writing and presentation skills.
- Highly organised with ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Strong technical commercial property and liability knowledge, administrative and reporting skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work under own initiative and an active desire to develop knowledge and experience.
