About your new job

  • Develop and implement manufacturing strategies to meet customer and company needs.
  • Manage projects for new equipment and product introductions, ensuring compliance with regulatory, validation, and health and safety requirements.
  • Build relationships with customers and equipment suppliers for new business and continuous improvement.
  • Establish and manage project teams, defining deliverables, timelines, costs, and priorities.
  • Oversee equipment suppliers to ensure specifications, costs, and delivery timelines are met.
  • Collaborate with all departments to ensure new processes meet their needs, providing training and transitioning to operations.
  • Identify, specify, and introduce new manufacturing methods and opportunities.
  • Serve as a technical expert in automated manufacturing processes and assist in training and developing personnel.

What skill/experience you need

  • Must hold an NFQ Level 7 Degree in Engineering, ideally in Automation, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering, and have at least 3 years of engineering experience.
  • Must be well-versed in the hardware and software of PLCs and vision control systems.
  • Must have strong expertise in Barcode Scanning & RFID Automatic Identification and Data Capture for high-volume manufacturing.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of Industrial Network architectures (Ethernet IP, ControlNet, and Profibus) and be capable of troubleshooting network problems.
  • Must have a deep understanding of machine control systems, integrated manufacturing control systems (including MES and Batch Manufacturing), and practical experience in querying SQL Databases. Familiarity with GAMP 5 guidelines is a plus.
