The Associate Finance Director will lead compliance & audit for Ireland. This senior leadership position will suit an individual with a passion for compliance, governance and controls. Someone who is capable of working with a wide range of stakeholders including the group’s Irish Business Leaders and Corporate Teams to deliver best in class finance support & governance.

About Your New Job
This Associate Director job will focus on:
- Leading the preparation & review of financial statements for 4 companies in Ireland.
- Lead the team to ensure compliance to all Irish tax legislation across all tax categories.
- Act as subject matter expert and advisor on Irish matters with the Corporate Tax & Accounting teams on acquisitions, IP valuations and subsidiary investments.
- Ensure an efficient system of internal controls is in place which gives management & Irish company board members assurance that Irish companies are compliant to local regulations.
- Lead all external & internal audit engagements.
- Manage financial advisor engagements, including fee negotiations.
- Lead teams supporting strategic projects. E.g. Company restructuring projects, transformation programs & continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead the Galway payroll services team ensuring accurate, timely payroll for our employees.
- Partner with Finance Leaders to build a high performing & engaged team.
- Join the Board of Directors for the Irish companies & fulfil related responsibilities as needed.
- Lead & develop a team of 8 people.

What Skills/Experience You Need
- Qualified Chartered Accountant with experience in a large-scale multinational company.
- Tax qualification would be preferred but is not absolutely essential.
- Minimum Level 8 degree in relevant area (E.g. Commerce, Business, Accounting) required.
- Proven track record of Senior Leadership.
- Proven ability to work & communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Proven track record of leading & developing teams.
- Proven track record of identifying & implementing process improvements.
