About Your New Role

  • You will act as a key interface between the business and the provision of Data and Application services.
  • You will support end-to-end delivery of technology solutions, including shaping strategy, contributing to requirements, and overseeing development and testing phases.
  • You will ensure successful implementation of projects and manage their transition to Business-As-Usual (BAU) support.
  • You will drive continuous improvement in operations, focusing on reducing waste and streamlining processes.
  • You will manage the end-to-end delivery of application services, including incident, major incident, and problem management.
  • You will support high-quality reporting and data accuracy, and identify and report risks and issues.
  • You will ensure controlled change management, including assessment, approval, and review of changes to live environments.
  • You will engage with all business areas to support regular reviews and align technology programs with corporate strategies.
  • You will act as a trusted advisor and key contact for business stakeholders, advocating for their needs and priorities.
  • You will manage vendor relationships, ensuring service levels, incident management, and change delivery meet standards.
  • You will lead project and business change management, ensuring delivery of change milestones on time, on scope, and on budget.
  • You will adhere to internal project methodologies, governance structures, and processes, ensuring effective transition to BAU and project closure activities.

 

What Skills You Need

  • Previous experience within Release Management and Project Management
  • Experience in managing outsourced software vendors
  • Experience in insurance systems and familiarity with software development lifecycle processes
  • People management skills – demonstrable capability in developing people
  • Experience in implementing standards-based IT management frameworks
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with experience in communicating to various levels of stakeholders inside and outside the business
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
