A Cork company are looking for a Transport Manager to join there site.

About your new job

• Full responsibility for the preparation of daily transport plan for specific customer groups and/or geographical areas in conjunction with other planners.
• Ensuring that the daily plan is checked for accuracy and is planned to achieve best possible efficiencies in terms of driver, truck and equipment routing.
• Liaising with other managers on any daily planning matters relating to sharing of resources and/or routing of trucks, trailers or other equipment.
• Monitor driver working hours to ensure balance work days and work weeks. Review hours worked on each Thursday morning with a view balancing hour for remainder of the week.
• Provide input on driver leave requests to ensure adequate number of drivers available at key periods.
• Escalate any planning related matters to Operations Director in a timely manner.
• Work with the Operations Director to identify Key Performance Matrix for planning operations.
• Deliver on a key set of Monthly and Annual Performance Indicators.

What skill/experience you need

• 2 years’ experience within Transportation Management.
• Excel & numerical skills.
• Very strong excel is essential
