Sourcing Specialist

Location: Galway City

Type of contract: Permanent

After the probationary period spent on-site, this will be a hybrid working opportunity of 3 days on site, 2 days from home.

About Your New Job

The successful applicant will be joining a team of 7 Sourcing Specialists, working closely with managers to help drive cost savings and maximise business opportunities.

• Strategic sourcing of products and global procurement
• Negotiating pricing, deals, contracts and delivery schedules with our suppliers
• Identify and evaluate opportunities to reduce sourcing costs, build on current product offering, and create additional value for the customer base
• Conduct regular market and spend analysis to drive cost savings and improvements with suppliers

What Skills/Experience You Need

• Qualification or relevant industry related experience and a background in supply chain or sourcing preferred
• Proven track record of supplier evaluation, negotiation & selection
• Strong organisational & admin skills
• Ability to learn/understand the technical information of products
• Excellent negotiation and decision making skills
• Good computer skills (MS Office), SAP ERP experience highly desirable but not absolutely essential
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work as team member
• Ability to work to agreed time scales and deadlines
