Electrical Quantity Surveyor- Little Island, Cork

Join a leading Electrical Subcontractor in their office in little island, Co. Cork (hybrid working available). This company has decades of experience working on high profile projects in the Pharma, data centres, healthcare and transport industries across Ireland, the UK, Europe & the Middle East. You will be joining as a valued member of staff in a company that puts huge emphasis on employee wellbeing and personal & professional development.

Due to several very successful ventures in the last couple of years, they have secured a massive pipeline of work over the next 5 years and are looking for ambitious Electrical Quantity Surveyors who are eager to take their career to the next level while working on major exciting projects & with some great colleagues who are experts in their field. The successful candidate must have 2+ years in a similar Electrical role with Data Centre or Pharma experience an advantage.

What you will do:

  • Prepare estimates, cost plans, bills of quantities, specifications and schedule of rates
  • Prepare, profile, monitor and manage budgets for all project related activities
  • Manage and forecast project cash flow
  • Evaluate and interpret project contract documentation
  • Provide precise, competitive and cost-effective valuations in a timely manner
  • Prepare and agree monthly progress claims
  • Maintain accurate records of claims prepared, certificates issued and of retentions involved
  • Prepare and deliver monthly commercial project reports

What you will need:

To be successful in your new role you will need:

  • A relevant 3rd level qualification
  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar Electrical Quantity Surveying role
  • Must be eligible to work in Ireland
  • Strong IT skills with knowledge of Microsoft packages
