About Your New Job as a Supplier Quality Engineer III:
As a Supplier Quality Engineer III, you will manage the quality performance of externally sourced finished medical devices, working with suppliers to resolve quality issues, improve performance, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. You’ll also contribute to supplier-related projects across the global network.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee quality performance of OEM and contract manufacturers.
- Identify, assess, and resolve quality issues using systematic problem-solving methods.
- Investigate material quality issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Review and approve supplier corrective action plans and verify effectiveness.
- Lead supplier assessments and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with Supplier Engineering and Commercial Sourcing on quality, cost, and service.
- Support new product development projects and onboard suppliers for finished medical devices.
- Travel domestically and internationally (up to 25%) to support suppliers.
Qualifications & Experience
- Level 8 Degree in Engineering or a technical discipline.
- 4+ years of experience in a regulated industry, with knowledge of QSR and ISO standards.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and QMS software.
- Ability to work independently and manage projects effectively.
Preferred
- Experience in a quality function, particularly supplier quality.
- Knowledge of Medical Device regulations and Material Controls.
- Lead Assessor ISO13485 certification (preferred).
- Familiarity with drug-coated products is advantageous.
