Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

About Your New Job

  • Design and Development: As a Mechanical Specialist, you will research, plan, design, verify, validate, and develop mechanical and/or electromechanical products and systems, including metals, instruments, controls, plastics, robots, engines, machines, and various systems for energy production and use.
  • Technology Recommendations: Recommend various technology options or approaches for system, process, facility, or program improvements in terms of safety, performance, efficiency, or costs.
  • Project Management: Manage projects from design to implementation, ensuring adherence to policies and using specialized knowledge and skills acquired through advanced education.
  • Mentorship and Leadership: Act as a mentor to colleagues, coach and review the work of lower-level specialists, and may manage projects or processes.

What Skills You Need

  • Advanced Knowledge:
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a similar role in medical device manufacturing. 
  • Experience in Process Design, Technology Development & Advancement, Automation, Vendor Management, Supplier Development & Project management.
  • Project Management: Practical knowledge of project management is essential.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to tackle difficult problems and issues, requiring an understanding of multiple job areas or specialties.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills to interact with senior internal and external customers and vendors, exchange information, and influence decision-making.
