Our client is a leading mechanical and electrical contractor based in Dublin with a turnover of over €70 Million +. They work on a wide variety of projects that include commercial, residential, industrial, healthcare and data centres. The company has recently embarked on a period of significant growth and strategic development, and as part of this, they are seeking a Senior Mechanical Contracts Manager for the greater Dublin area. The company have a great reputation in the market, working with some of the leading tier one main contractors on multimillion euro mechanical packages.
Your New Job
As Senior Contracts Manager, you will be tasked with the following:
- Develop and manage project budgets and cost plans.
- Lead multiple project teams to ensure timely and on-scope contract delivery.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to successfully deliver all aspects of assigned client projects.
- Manage and assess the quality of subcontractor work.
- Oversee compliance with current Health & Safety legislation.
- Support the Project Surveyor in managing and controlling contract costs and variations, with regular cost projections reported to the Construction Director.
- Identify and manage project risks, ensuring early intervention with design teams to meet deliverables and deadlines.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure high accuracy in planning and scheduling activities.
- Develop and implement project schedules aligned with key milestones, coordinating necessary resources.
- Develop and monitor material procurement schedules to meet project timelines
What Skills You Need
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.
- Over 10 years of experience in construction or a related industry is preferred.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Consistent track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Highly motivated with exceptional management and leadership abilities.
What's on Offer
Successful applicants will receive a competitive package of more than €140,000. This is based on a salary of circa €125,000 and a comprehensive benefit package including a bonus (project dependent and based on net profit PC), pension contribution, a company vehicle and a clear pathway to move into a Project Director role. This role is offering a candidate the opportunity to manage a large portfolio of projects in excess of €20million.
