About Your New Employer

My client is a Global Med Tech Company, who develop and manufacture Pharmaceuticals and ophthalmic implants are looking to hire a Senior Legal Counsel into their Irish office. Working closely with the General Counsel and wider Legal team you will work across the business to advise on all legal matters as well as on shoring all Intellectual Property assets to Ireland.

About Your New Job:

• Management, maintenance and exploitation of the Group’s IP assets.
• Participation in strategy level meetings, including the provision of accurate, relevant, and timely advice to C-Suite, senior management and other members of staff on a variety of legal topics that relate to the business sector and their products or services.
• Drafting, reviewing, negotiating and advising on a wide variety of commercial agreements including distribution, supply, agency, collaboration agreements and IP licensing / assignment.
• Supporting the management and mitigation of legal risks across the Group by reviewing, refining, designing and implementing company policies and procedures.
• Support on maintaining the Groups insurance portfolio, including renewal programme, liaising with brokers, managing claims processes.
• Promoting legal compliance and risk management best practice throughout the Group.

What Skills You Need

• Qualified solicitor entitled to practise in Ireland
• Excellent academic track record
• Experience of working as in-house counsel
• Experience of IP portfolio management for multi-national business
• Experience of working in or with a range of legal providers to secure appropriate, cost-effective advice
