My client, a leading Insurance Company, who operate across 12 countries globally are looking to hire a Senior Legal Counsel. Joining their established European Legal Function, as the Senior Legal Counsel you will support the Head of Legal for the European market by providing sound Legal advice.
About Your New Job
- Provide accurate, prompt and relevant legal advice to internal business stakeholders across a wide range of legal matters including commercial contracts, commercial transactions and legal developments.
- Minimise exposure to legal risk, including the identification, management and reporting of activities or transactions that could expose the European entity to material legal risks.
- Develop innovative and value-adding solutions to assist business stakeholders in optimising their use of legal resources.
- Monitoring relevant industry and market developments in relation to advances and best practices.
REQUIREMENTS
- Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 7 years relevant post qualification experience in private or in-house practice (Irish qualified Solicitor or Barrister preferred).
- Proven track record working in, or advising, companies about corporate law issues.
- Experience in advising, a multi-national and cross border insurance or financial services company is a distinct advantage.
- Strong corporate governance skills.
