About Your New Employer:

Our client provides asset and liability management services to the Irish Government. It has evolved from a single function agency managing the National Debt to a manager of a complex portfolio of public assets and liabilities.  They are seeking an experienced Senior Investment Analyst, to join their Portfolio Management Division in their Dublin based office, reporting to the Investment Director and on a full-time permanent contract.

About Your New Job:

  • Taking a lead role in gathering and analysing ISIF’s Economic Impact data.
  • Preparing reports and communication material in relation to ISIF’s Economic Impact for both internal and external audiences.
  • Facilitating and coordinating delivery of key elements of ISIF’s investment approval process (e.g., aspects of early-stage investment proposals and economic impact assessments).
  • Developing and tracking a range of performance and Economic Impact metrics across ISIF’s portfolio.
  • Collating material and preparing reports covering ISIF’s investment performance for both internal and external audiences.
  • Working with the S&RI team on various ESG related work including investment assessment, and modelling.
  • Contributing to Sustainable and Responsible investment strategy development and implementation across both Global and Irish portfolios.
  • Responsible for contributing to detailed investment papers describing and analysing the key sustainability features/risk of proposed investments for the ISIF internal investment process.
  • Proactively making suggestions to enhance the operational effectiveness of the team.
  • Supporting the wider ISIF team with queries and issues when required.

Who you are:

  • Have a relevant third level qualification in Finance, Business, Data Analytics (or similar field).
  • 2-4 years’ relevant experience in impact or sustainable investing or demonstrate experience that allow the candidate to pivot into this area
  • Knowledge of performance calculations and methodologies
  • Experience in production of a variety of reports and dashboards
  • Experience in managing large data sets and automation of data input/output processes 
  • Experience in dealing with investment and/or economic impact information
  • Demonstrate a keen and well-informed interest in economic impact, sustainability and how it relates to investment and in developing knowledge and expertise
  • Strong Investment analysis skills
  • High level problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong proven commercial acumen and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excel and data management skills
  • A strong communicator, both in writing and verbally
  • Flexible and considerate team player
  • A team player capable of managing several stakeholders in a professional manner
