My client based in South Dublin have a requirement for a qualified accountant with a strong Industry background – If you have worked within Energy or Utilities it would be an advantage

About Your New Job

  • Lead the preparation and delivery of management accounts including parent company and subsidiaries.
  • Deliver a detailed analytical review of P&L comparing actuals to budget & prior year.
  • Ensure all assigned balance sheet reconciliations are completed monthly.
  • Assist with managing the AR team & management of aged debtors reporting.
  • Maintain fixed asset register and update monthly depreciation/amortisation calculations. Responsible for the maintenance of the fixed Assets master data.
  • Assist with financial modelling and annual budgetary & reforecasting process.
  • Responsible for preparing, controlling, and issuing customer rebates.
  • Prepare, record, and reconcile intra group transactions.
  • Assist in revenue assurance process to reduce leakage and identify areas to improve gross margin.
  • Involvement in treasury and banking reporting processes
  • Prepare & File VAT returns & CSO reporting.
  • Prepare audit pack for year-end external audit
  • Unique experience to be gained in the implementation of new systems in central office

What skills you need

  • Qualified  Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Ideally 2+ years’ experience of working in a finance role preferably involving producing management accounts
  • Experience of month end closing including journal preparation, balance sheet reconciliations and management report production. Excellent knowledge of Excel essential
  • Must be coming from Energy, Utilities or a similar Industry to be suitable for this role
