Safety Officer (Multiple small sites in Dublin)
Our client who is recognised as a top player in the energy technology sector with a strong presence across Europe is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Officer to join their team at Citywest, Dublin. This role reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer and plays a key part in ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations while promoting a strong safety culture across all operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Update Risk Assessments, Safe Operating Procedures, and Safety Statements.
- Conduct Safety Induction Training for new employees and subcontractors.
- Perform site inspections, audits, and compliance checks.
- Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and near-misses.
- Enforce the use of PPE.
- Coordinate mandatory safety training.
- Review subcontractors’ safety documentation.
- Attend Health & Safety meetings.
- Maintain safety records and prepare reports.
Requirements:
- Relevant 3rd level qualification in Health & Safety or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in construction or industrial settings.
- Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation.
- Proficiency in risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety audits.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy (MS Office Suite).
- Professional certifications (IOSH or NEBOSH) are highly desirable.
