About Your New Job as an R&D Engineer:
- Design and development of new medical products.
- Product/process evaluation and record keeping.
- Identification of raw materials, components and suppliers.
- Work on design of the concept, prototypes, and testing
- Communication with customer and reporting to Project Managers on project progression.
- Taking part in Continuous Improvement activities
- Adhere to company Health & Safety requirements.
What Skills You Need to succeed as an R&D Engineer:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or similar discipline is essential.
- 5 years+ experience in similar role is essential.
- Experience in a medical device environment would be an advantage though is not essential.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing business needs.
- Motivated, Self-starting with ability to work with a team and also independently
- Good problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of a high-end CAD System, Ideally Solidworks.
- Hands on approach to designing and fabrication
- Ability to work to strict international regulations regarding medical devices.
