About Your New Job as an R&D Design Engineer

  • Independently apply technical techniques, procedures, and criteria, making minor adaptations as needed.
  • Investigate technical variables to complete assignments with clear objectives.
  • Work on standard projects independently, receiving guidance for more complex tasks.
  • Perform design, testing, and development activities for new and existing medical devices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve designs and resolve technical challenges.
  • Oversee prototype creation and contribute to engineering change notices (ECNs).
  • May supervise engineers, technicians, or other team members as part of specific projects.

What Skills & Experience You Need as an R&D Design Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply engineering principles to problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets, word processing, databases, and other relevant software.
