Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections of products, packaging, and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintain and update quality documentation, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Oversee adherence to the Food Safety HACCP plan and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify, manage, and resolve non-conforming materials, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
  • Perform metal detection checks and other essential quality control procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation for and participation in BRC, customer, and regulatory audits.
  • Ensure hygiene and site cleanliness standards are met and maintained.
  • Support internal and external compliance with procedural and documentation control.
  • Review and manage production check sheets and label verification records.
  • Collaborate with various teams to uphold quality standards and address any issues.
  • Report directly to the Quality Manager and provide updates on quality performance.
  • Assist with site inspections and ensure any irregularities are documented and addressed.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of using initiative.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP is an advantage.
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet business needs.
  • Ability to handle pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Minimum Requirements / Experience:

  • Diploma or Degree in a relevant field.
  • Training and development opportunities available.
  • Previous experience in a quality role is beneficial but not essential.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations.
