An Engineering company in Cork are seeking a Project Planner oversee an exciting mechanical engineering project, on a permanent & full-time basis

About your new job

• Helping the project manager and stakeholders as needed.
• Checking project work and fixing issues as they arise.
• Creating schedules and keeping an eye on the project's progress.
• Making sure everything follows rules and quality standards.
• Noticing problems and finding solutions.
• Giving updates to the team and the client.
• Comparing estimated and actual project costs.
• Managing staff and their tasks.
• Traveling when needed, like to suppliers or conferences.
• Assisting with tracking project expenses.
• Coordinating with project managers for successful project delivery.
• Making sure big projects are profitable.

What skill/experience you need

• A relevant 3rd level qualification.
• Minimum 3 years project planning experience, ideally in industrial construction or mechanical engineering.
• Prior on-site project involvement.
• Strong commercial management understanding.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project Management & Primavera P6.
• Excellent presentation & IT skills.
• Positive, energetic attitude with accountability.
• Comfortable working in teams.
