About Your New Job as Project Architect

  • Lead the delivery of data centre and pharmaceutical/life sciences architecture projects from early concept through to completion, creating high-performance, technically robust environments across mission-critical facilities, manufacturing plants, cleanrooms, laboratories, and controlled production spaces.
  • Oversee the technical development of projects, ensuring full compliance with Irish Building Regulations, Technical Guidance Documents, client specifications, GMP requirements, and sector-specific regulatory and operational standards.
  • Work closely with clients, specialist consultants, contractors, process engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are functional, compliant, efficient, and delivered to the highest technical and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, quality of workmanship, commissioning coordination, and adherence to regulatory, safety, and mission-critical performance standards.
  • Act as a job runner, managing project programmes, budgets, consultant coordination, and stakeholder expectations while maintaining design integrity, technical excellence, and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

What Skills You Need

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience working as an Architect, with a strong portfolio of data centre, pharmaceutical, life sciences, advanced manufacturing, or mission-critical projects.
  • Excellent technical knowledge and a thorough understanding of Irish Building Regulations, fire safety strategy, cleanroom design principles, controlled environments, building services coordination, and relevant regulatory frameworks such as GMP, validation processes, and quality compliance standards.
  • Proven experience managing projects through the construction stage, carrying out site inspections, coordinating multidisciplinary consultants on site (including MEP, process, and specialist contractors), and resolving complex technical, coordination, and compliance-related issues.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage clients, collaborate effectively with technical and operational stakeholders, and work confidently within multidisciplinary design and delivery teams.
  • Familiarity with local authority processes, planning requirements, Building Control procedures, BCAR compliance, and the approval and validation pathways typical within the Irish data centre and pharmaceutical sectors.

What’s on Offer

  • You will receive a competitive salary package, with remuneration depending on experience in the range of €70,000 to €80,000.
  • The role comes with a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance.
  • There are strong opportunities for ongoing professional development and clear career progression within the practice.
  • You will work on high-profile, meaningful healthcare projects with a well-established and respected architectural firm.
