About Your New Job as a Production Supervisor:
- Supervise Production Operatives: Ensure efficient and timely production operations.
- Coordinate with Departments: Liaise with planning, engineering, maintenance, and quality to meet customer expectations.
- Manage Workflow: Keep management informed of schedule status, priorities, and issues.
- Employee Relations: Address employee queries and issues through company policies and procedures.
- Team Development: Plan and coordinate training, provide coaching, and maintain training records.
- Performance Management: Assess performance, provide feedback, and conduct formal reviews.
- Health and Safety: Complete health and safety checks and report to the H&S Officer.
- KPI Achievement: Ensure all production KPIs are met.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in projects to improve productivity.
- Standard Procedures: Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- 6-S Implementation: Maintain required standards in production areas.
- Additional Tasks: Perform other tasks as determined by the Operations Manager.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and tidy work environment.
- ESG Support: Support the Environmental, Social, and Governance function within the business.
What Skills You Need for Production Supervisor role:
- NFQ level 7 qualification in a relevant discipline.
- 4-5 years' experience in Production Supervisory roles.
- Proven ability to lead and manage people effectively.
- Strong people management skills, including handling disciplinary and performance meetings.
- Knowledge of electronics/cable assembly is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Experience with Lean methodologies is advantageous.
- Experience with automated manufacturing systems is highly advantageous.
- Ability to set targets and manage team performance.
- Flexibility and capability to handle multiple priorities.
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
- Strong analytical, computer, and technical skills.
- ERP production experience is desirable.
- Strong awareness of Health and Safety requirements.
