A well-known West Cork Company are currently recruiting for a General Operative to join their Production Team.
About your new job
- Perform various tasks in the factory, including operating lines, packing, building pallets, and cleaning to meet production targets.
- Follow all safety policies, procedures.
- Maintain a safe work environment and report any safety incidents or concerns.
- Collaborate with the team to set up the production line, complete checks, and ensure materials are ready.
- Perform prestart, hygiene, and safety checks as directed.
- GMPs, SOPs, and all regulatory, food safety, quality, and hygiene requirements.
- Document required information timely
- Report equipment breakages, damages, or defaults to the Production Supervisor, and use machinery safely.
- Record checks as directed.
- Participate in lean manufacturing processes and support continuous improvement in food hygiene and housekeeping practices.
What skill/experience you need
- Experience in operating and troubleshooting food production machinery is advantageous.
- Skills in inspecting products, packaging, and labels, reporting defects, and ensuring customer compliance are important.
- Knowledge of hygiene standards for maintaining clean work areas is required.
