About the Role
A leading company is seeking an On-Site Procurement & Storeroom Manager to oversee daily operations and act as the primary contact between the company, its vendors, and the customer. This role involves managing an on-site team, ensuring key metrics are met, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to deliver cost savings and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for all on-site activities, escalations, and operational issues.
- Oversee procurement and storeroom functions, ensuring KPIs and service levels are met.
- Work closely with customer teams across Procurement, EHS, Quality, Warehouse, and Engineering.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to optimize procurement outcomes.
- Manage site inventory, ensuring stock levels align with forecasted needs while minimizing costs.
- Track contract KPIs and generate reports on performance and cost savings.
- Support supplier negotiations, performance analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and develop the on-site team, ensuring training and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Handle escalations related to engineering spares and procurement issues.
- Monitor and drive sales opportunities, applying margin management principles.
- Ensure adherence to health & safety, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience in procurement, account management, or a related role.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- ERP system knowledge is an advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- A qualification in purchasing or supply chain management is desirable but not essential.
