Sigmar Recruitment are working alongside a well-established electrical contracting company based in Limerick, known for delivering high-quality electrical solutions for both commercial and residential projects. As the company continues to grow, they are looking to expand theteam with a dedicated and experienced Planner.
About Your New Role as a Project Planner:
The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of projects, scheduling, and resource management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain project schedules for electrical works.
- Coordinate with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Monitor project progress and adjust schedules as needed to ensure all milestones are met.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively.
- Prepare detailed reports for project management teams, highlighting potential delays and recommending solutions.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
- Support the team with any other planning-related tasks as required.
What Skills You Need:
- Proven experience in a planning role, ideally within the electrical contracting industry.
- Strong knowledge of project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asta Powerproject).
- Excellent organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and suppliers.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and industry regulations.
- A relevant qualification in construction or engineering is desirable.
