Financial Reporting Accountant – Hedge Funds

Dublin 4 | Office-Based | Up to €80,000 + Benefits

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a newly qualified accountant to join a leading financial services organisation based in Dublin 4.

This role is ideally suited to candidates who have gained exposure to hedge funds either through their training contract within a Top 10 accounting firm or through a financial reporting role within the hedge fund industry.

The successful candidate will join a high-performing finance team and gain exposure to complex financial reporting, fund structures, and a dynamic investment environment.

The Role

As a Financial Reporting Accountant, you will be involved in the preparation and review of financial reporting deliverables while working closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation and review of financial statements for hedge fund structures
  • Assisting with month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting requirements
  • Supporting the audit process and liaising with external auditors
  • Reviewing fund accounting information and financial reporting outputs
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Performing reconciliations and financial analysis
  • Supporting ongoing process improvements and control enhancements
  • Working closely with internal finance teams and external stakeholders
  • Assisting with ad-hoc reporting and finance projects as required

Requirements

  • Newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Experience working with hedge fund clients within a Top 10 accounting firm or
  • Experience working within a financial reporting role supporting hedge funds
  • Strong financial reporting and technical accounting skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced financial services environment
