Mechanical Site Manager required in Cork – Leading Mechanical Contractor: €70-€80k

 

About Your New Employer

A highly regarded mechanical contractor who have are in operation for over 10+ years across Ireland and currently have a turnover of circa €30 Million. This company specialises in the installation of air conditioning systems, ventilation, plumbing installation and BMS systems, primarily in the commercial & residential construction space. With a number of new commercial & residential projects about to start, this company requires a Mechanical Supervisor for a project in Cork. 

 

About Your New Job

As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing mechanical installations, ensuring quality control, and managing the day-to-day operations on-site. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and tradespeople to ensure the timely and successful completion of all mechanical works. Some of your duties will include:

  • Supervise Mechanical Works: Oversee installation and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems as per project specs.
  • Team Leadership: Manage site workers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure high performance and safety.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all work meets standards through regular inspections and issue resolution.
  • Health & Safety: Enforce compliance with on-site safety regulations.
  • Project Planning: Support scheduling, timelines, and resource management for smooth operations.
  • Problem Solving: Resolve technical issues and minimize delays.
  • Reporting: Maintain progress reports and communicate with Project Manager.

 

What Skills & Requirements You Need

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in mechanical construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role with a reputable contractor.
  • Qualifications: Trade qualifications or relevant certifications in mechanical engineering or a trade qualification.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical systems, building regulations, and construction standards.
  • Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Driving License: Full, clean driving license.
