About Your New Job
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will:
- Perform inspections, maintenance, and repair work on various plant machinery and equipment.
- Conduct welding repairs and installations using steel plates and work platforms.
- Troubleshoot and correct mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical problems.
- Participate in plant shutdown work, including tear down and inspection of equipment.
- Work closely with the Lead Mechanic in training and development.
- Follow all company procedures and safety policies.
What Skills You Need
- Leaving Certificate and three (3) years of power or industrial plant experience.
- Formal technical or apprentice training in fields such as electricity, welding, mechanical, millwright, plumbing, or machining.
- Knowledge of safe use of hand tools, meters, lathes, drill presses, cutting torches, rigging, etc.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and procedures.
