About Your New Job:

You’ll join the in-house legal and compliance team as a Legal Executive, playing a pivotal role in supporting the legal function across procurement, contracts, compliance, and governance. This role offers the chance to work directly with senior leadership and project teams, gaining exposure to strategic operations within a fast-paced construction environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Support the legal department in procurement processes, contract negotiation, and compliance with legal and regulatory matters
  • Assist with the review, drafting, and negotiation of a broad range of commercial agreements (RIAI, JCT, NEC, FIDIC)
  • Provide corporate governance and compliance support to the board, executive team, and committees
  • Maintain effective communication with internal teams, clients, and external advisors
  • Coordinate meetings, take minutes, and track action items
  • Stay abreast of legal and regulatory changes relevant to the construction sector
  • Support document management, legal correspondence, and internal governance processes
  • Uphold strict confidentiality and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation

Who You Are:

  • Professionally qualified Legal Executive or third-level qualification in a related field
  • 3–5+ years’ post-qualification experience in a legal executive or similar role
  • Strong grounding in construction and commercial law
  • Comfortable working with standard form contracts (e.g., RIAI, JCT, NEC, FIDIC)
  • Skilled in contractual risk assessment, drafting, and legal analysis
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and file management skills
  • A collaborative team player who can also work autonomously
  • Membership of IILEX (The Irish Institute of Legal Executives) advantageous
  • Commercially minded with a practical understanding of construction operations
