My client is a well-established Insurance firm who specialise in underwriting and broking services in the UK. They are currently expanding their footprint into Ireland and are hiring experienced insurance underwriters to join the team at a very exciting time for the firm.
About Your New Job
Reporting to the Home underwriting Manager, this role involves assessing home insurance applications, determining risk levels and making informed underwriting decisions in line with regulatory standards.
What Skills You Need
- Evaluate new and renewal home insurance applications, including buildings and contents cover
- Analyse non-standard risk factors such as property location, construction type, claims history, business use and physical security features
- Determine appropriate coverage terms, premiums, and endorsements within delegated authority
- Liaise with brokers, agents, and internal departments to gather additional information and clarify underwriting requirements
