HR Director

About Your New Job

  • Work as a close partner with the MD to drive commercially based HR policy and decision making.
  • Responsibility for maintaining, developing and implementing HR policy and systems consistent with the HR strategy and current legislations.
  • Identifying and implementing Best People/HR initiatives that enable the achievement of the commercial objectives.
  • Guide and coach line and middle and management as well as HR employees on best practice and practical solutions.
  • To oversee the recruitment process as a vitally important service to the line; this is key.
  • Providing HR input to tenders and customer contracts including advising on TUPE related activities.
  • Raising management performance through coaching line managers to be effective people managers.
  • Develop HR systems in order that the HR team can effectively support the business. It is likely that this will include the development and deployment of a new system in line with the overall strategy
  • Introduce process improvements to reduce costs or improve service levels.
  • Provide management information and HR KPI measures.
  • Manage effective succession planning for management and support positions.
  • Identify training needs cross business and develop solutions as required.
  • Assess organisational structures and lead organisational design and development according to best business practice or benchmarked standards.
  • Provide employment law advice, both remotely and face to face in complex situations including management to Employment Tribunal level
  • Effectively link with UK HR Shared Service function on supported issues

 

What Skills You Need

  • Experience of developing HR policies and processes.
  • Experience in learning and development, from training needs analysis to delivery of trainings.
  • Experience in working in the areas of talent identification and management.
  • Experience in working in an international environment in the service industry.
  • University Degree level preferably in Business Administration or related field.
  • Advantage: grounded solidly in HR but operational line management experience in service environment.
  • People and Team manager; results driven
