Situated in Athlone, this is a global company that specialises in providing a range of contract pharmaceutical development and manufacturing services. They are now hiring for an experienced Health and Safety Officer to join their growing EHS team.

This job is fully onsite.

About Your New Job as a Health and Safety Officer

• You will be responsible for the implementation of the Health and Safety Management System via Company polices and standard procedures in line with regulatory compliance.
• This job will suit someone with a positive, continuous improvement mindset due to the nature of the job.
• You will be responsible for ongoing continuous improvement of our current systems.
• You will maintain their safety incident and near miss reporting system.
• You will complete risk assessments and auditing along with implementing their site safety training plan.

What Skills You Need:

• 2 years experience in a similar position - demonstrated health and safety experience within an industrial setting.
• Experience working within a certified management system such as ISO 14001 or ISO 45001
• Ideally, previous experience delivering training to team members
• A strong understanding of risk management and relevant H&S regulations and legislation.
