Our Client in Co. Waterford is looking for a H&S Advisor to join their Team. They are looking for someone with an Electrical background.
Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Conduct site inspections and audits, ensuring compliance with safety and company standards, and report findings to the Head of EHS.
- Review subcontractor Method Statements/Risk Assessments and provide support as needed.
- Assist the Head of EHS and support the implementation of the Safety Management System.
- Identify training needs and report to the Head of EHS.
- Deliver workplace safety inductions, toolbox talks, on-site training, and safety initiatives.
- Organize and lead safety meetings, ensuring consistent EHS standards across the business.
- Maintain and assess subcontractor insurance, safety statements, and method statements.
- Assist with accident investigations and contribute to workplace safety improvements.
- Submit weekly reports and support site teams in drafting Safe Plans of Action.
- Conduct regular safety audits, attend client safety meetings, and support corporate EHS activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and drive a strong EHS culture.
- Identify and address risks early, escalating as needed.
- Implement EHS strategies aligned with company goals and oversee EHS programs and performance reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant 3rd Level EHS qualification required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Construction sector experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational, planning, and teamwork skills.
