Financial Controller - Co. Mayo
About Your New Employer:
Our client is a large MNC with their Irish operation based out of Co. Mayo. They are looking for a financial controller to join and lead their growing finance team.
About Your New Job:
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team of accounting professionals.
- Lead the preparation, consolidation and analysis of financial statements for various international entities.
- Coordinate the preparation of local statutory financial statements and manage the relationship with external auditors.
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, increase efficiency and implement best practices.
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory reporting requirements, including government filings and submissions related to financial disclosures, audits, and tax returns.
What Skills You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA.
- A minimum of 3 years in progressively senior accounting or finance roles in practice/industry.
- Proficiency with business and accounting software required.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office including strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
