About Your New Employer
The business was started by the founders 18 years ago. The company has expanded from 2 employees to over 200 during that time. The combined business will turnover over €40m in 2023 and has seen strong growth every year since foundation, which is expected to continue.
This role will provide invaluable experience for anyone looking to develop into a senior finance leadership role in the future. It is a hands-on role and will be ever changing as the highly entrepreneurial shareholders expand their business interests in current and new sectors.
About Your New Job
- Preparation of Month End Accounts for review with Financial Controller (c€30m annual revenue).
- Fixed asset register management and lease schedule management.
- Assist with monthly Group financial accounting: Balance Sheet reconciliations, VAT returns, Stock reconciliations, etc.
- Assist with monthly Group financial analysis and KPI reporting.
- Assist with process improvement across all finance function activities – specifically sales invoicing processes & systems integration.
- Become fully familiar with the workings of the operations/ billing system and how it interacts with the finance system.
- Assist with year-end audits for the Group and liaise with external auditors on Holdings Companies, Property Holdings Companies, and Hotel Group companies.
- Assist Financial Controller with financial reporting for ‘Shareholder Holding Companies’, ‘Property Holding Companies’, ‘Hotel Group Companies’ & new future companies/ groups that may arise.
- Play crucial role in implementing new finance system implementation (project end 2023/early 2024)
- Group VAT returns and tax filings
What Skills You Need
- Strong systems capability and highly IT literate – capable of being super-user.
- Dataset – Waste Industry Specific Operations System & Invoicing System (ERP System, SQL database with Microsoft Access front end)
- Sage 50 – Current finance system– will be integral in new system implementation Microsoft BC
- HubSpot – Waste & Hygiene/ Pest CRM (being rolled out currently)
- Service Tracker – new operating system for Hygiene & Pest Group
- Has taken charge of all financial reporting activities for entities (start to finish) in the past.
- Strong technical accounting capability
- Experience working with non-accountant finance roles – guiding/ training/escalation point.
- Qualified ACA/ ACCA with 2-5 PQE in industry
- Commercially minded.
