About Your New Job
As the Financial Accountant, you will:
- Operational Financial Management: Manage financial payment and reporting processes for various programs, ensuring efficiency and accuracy. Develop and drive efficiencies in financial reporting and payment processes.
- Internal and External Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, reconcile accounts, and manage debtor processes. Assist in the preparation of cash flow projections and financial reports for both internal and external use.
- People Management: Lead and support staff, ensuring they meet performance expectations and develop professionally. Manage assigned staff with a focus on problem-solving and creative solutions.
- Stakeholder Management: Establish effective relationships with external stakeholders and manage agreements. Liaise with internal and external auditors and other relevant departments to ensure compliance and optimal coordination of supports to services.
- Quality Control: Oversee data quality and validity, ensuring all financial activities comply with national and EU laws, government circulars, and internal policies.
What Skills You Need
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in financial management and reporting.
- Qualifications: Professional accounting qualification or relevant third-level degree.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS packages (Word, Excel, Outlook) and financial accounting systems.
