Financial Accountant – Not for Profit – €55,000 – 6 Months (View to Perm)

About the Role
As a financial accountant you will be responsible for the below activities

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts and annual financial statements in line with SORP (Statement of Recommended Practice) standards.
  • Budget Management: Collaborate with departmental heads to create, monitor, and manage budgets.
  • Audit and Compliance: Oversee external audits, ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Grants and Funding: Manage grant applications, reporting, and funding allocations to ensure alignment with the charity's objectives.
  • Payroll and Tax: Handle payroll processing and ensure compliance with PAYE and VAT regulations.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and improve financial systems and processes for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.

What you Need

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in financial accounting, ideally with exposure to the charity or non-profit sector.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including familiarity with SORP.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks) and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
