About Your New Job
As the Finance and Operations Manager, you will manage the overall operations, including finance, office management, human resources, and governance. This senior role combines strategic leadership with hands-on financial planning, management, and operations oversight. You will directly manage a small team and have a wide-ranging impact across the organization and its network of members.


Key Responsibilities:

Finance:
• Oversee all financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Lead the financial planning and budgeting process.
• Deliver regular financial reporting and analysis to the CEO, Board of Trustees, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices.

Leadership and Strategy:
• Shape and execute the long-term strategic plans.
• Represent the organization externally with partners, funders, and in public forums.
• Provide strategic and operational guidance to the CEO and Board.

Governance and Compliance:
• Ensure the organisation operates within the law in all its activities.
• Oversee compliance with the Governance Compliance Code and other regulatory requirements.
• Manage the risk register and statutory register.
Operations:
• Oversee day-to-day operations, including office administration, HR functions, IT, and logistics.
• Manage relationships with external suppliers and the landlord.

Human Resources:
• Provide support, leadership, and guidance to team members.
• Ensure staff members are aware of relevant policies for their health, safety, and well-being.

What Skills You Need:
• Proven experience in financial management and operations oversight.
• Experience working for a ‘not for profit’ organisation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of governance and compliance requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
