Job description

My client a leading consulting firm have a requirement for a manager  who has a strong finance background within the insurance sector looking for a change of direction. You will be working on key finance projects within a number of global insurance clients

About Your New Job

  • You will lead finance elements of our client’s finance and actuarial transformation programmes, including implementation of IFRS 17
  • Regulatory change initiatives, including the implementation of IFRS 17;
  • Finance Target Operating Model definition and implementation;
  • Finance process and controls design, including Close optimisation initiatives;
  • Finance IT architecture design, including functional support in defining requirements, designing, building and testing components
  • Vendor spec & select support, including finance system vendors offering sub-ledger, general ledger, accounting rules engine and business intelligence solutions;
  • Plan and manage a team on projects to successfully deliver outcomes for clients

 

What skills you need

    • Good knowledge of the insurance industry, emerging trends and how we can help companies respond to these trends;
    • Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA
    • Experience of successfully managing projects and producing quality deliverables on time and within budget;
    • Prior consulting experience in finance transformation or active roles in finance transformation projects in the insurance industry;
    • Advanced financial reporting experience including technical knowledge of the key insurance financial metrics (e.g. Solvency II, Embedded Value and IFRS reporting)
