About Your New Job
- Managing a team of high-performing finance personnel, with the ability to create a continuous learning environment and employ creative thinking to create efficiencies and improvements where needed
- Managing financial reporting and oversight of all financial close activities for multiple regions
- Monthly and quarterly reporting and analysis, with insightful commentary and presentation
- Ensuring the timely and accurate submission of statutory accounts and liaising with internal and external auditors
- Reviewing and approving accounting transactions and reconciliations,
- Work to create strong business partnering relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals and growth plans.
- Monitor and manage cash flow to maintain sufficient liquidity for operations and investments.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate financial statements and reports for stakeholders.
- Ensure robust internal controls and compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks to protect company assets and reputation.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture and continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary contact for financial matters with external auditors, banks, and financial institutions.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve operational efficiency across all locations.
What skills you need
- Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) or have a relevant Business third level degree.
- Extensive knowledge of Irish / IFRS GAAP with GAAP knowledge an advantage
- Min 3 years Industry / Managerial Experience
- Knowledge of the Agriculture / Agrichemical / Pharma business an advantage- at least 5 years at manager level
