A well-regarded company in Limerick is looking for a Service Specialist to join their team. This role plays a crucial part in coordinating field service activities and supporting supply chain operations to ensure seamless service delivery and efficient resource management.

About Your New Job

  • Work closely with the Lead Scheduler and service team to collect and organize key scheduling information.
  • Identify and proactively resolve any conflicts or issues in the schedule.
  • Track ongoing projects, making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines and optimize efficiency.
  • Communicate any scheduling updates or changes to relevant teams and stakeholders.
  • Utilize scheduling software to effectively plan tasks, allocate resources, and optimize workflows.
  • Provide regular reports and status updates to management.
  • Assess potential risks that could impact schedules and take proactive steps to mitigate them.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as the role evolves.
  • Source and select suppliers, negotiate agreements, and ensure timely procurement of materials.
  • Monitor stock levels to balance supply with customer demand while avoiding excess inventory.
  • Oversee transportation and warehousing to ensure cost-effective and efficient movement of goods.
  • Foster strong relationships with suppliers to guarantee quality and reliability.
  • Assess supply chain data to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary process enhancements.
  • Ensure adherence to industry regulations while identifying and addressing potential risks.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports on supply chain efficiency.
  • Additional responsibilities may be introduced as the role develops.

What Skills/Experience You Need

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with scheduling, procurement, inventory management, or logistics is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software and supply chain management tools.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks and implement improvements.
  • A proactive and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
