Working for a Leading and Award Winning Wine Importer who have been in business for over 40 years.  Their unique approach has positioned them as a leader within the Irish wine market, supplying many of Ireland's top restaurants and hotels. Due to their continued success and growth, they are now looking to recruit a sales and business developer to join the knowledgeable and experienced Sales Team. This position requires knowledge of wine and a passion for the food and wine industry with a strong personality to drive sales. This role is an off-site Field Sales position covering Dublin City Centre and Dublin South. 

 

About Your Field Sales Job

  • Managing an existing portfolio of Clients within the given Territory.
  • Maximising opportunities for new business
  • Managing the sales and commercial performance of the territory assigned. 
  • Ability to work with the Sales Manager to achieve objectives. 
  • Foster excellent customer relationships within the sales territory to ensure all sales opportunities are maximized. 
  • Follow a call plan to visit all customers in your area while being flexible and responsive to your customer's needs. 
  • Build and maintain these relationships. 
  • Account management - maintain relationships with customer post-sale to ensure customer satisfaction and obtain referrals. Taking ownership of the customer and their issues. 
  • Maintain and develop your knowledge of products and services as well as industry developments. 

 

What Skills You Need for this Business Development Job

  • Sales experience within the wine industry is essential. 
  • Keen interest in wine and the wine industry. 
  • WSET qualification is a strong advantage. 
  • Excellent selling and account management skills. 
  • Must be target-driven and capable of developing new business on your own initiative. 
  • Meet and exceed monthly sales targets in a competitive market. 
  • Must be ambitious, have good negotiation skills, proactive, and energetic in developing new business. 
  • A proven team player with an excellent customer service approach, a professional manner, articulate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Full, clean drivers’ license. 
  • Candidate must ideally live in the proposed catchment area. 

 

What’s on Offer

This Job comes with a salary of 60-65k.  Benefits include Car and fuel allowance, Lunch allowance and Pension.
