A well-established Cork-based company, is looking for an Export Controller to become part of our growing team. This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless processing of export shipments while maintaining top-tier customer service and compliance standards.
About Your New Job
- Manage and oversee incoming orders from distributors and customers, ensuring smooth processing.
- Act as a key point of contact for customers, confirming order details, resolving queries, and providing updates on shipping progress.
- Handle all aspects of export documentation, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory and customer-specific requirements.
- Maintain detailed and organized records to support audits and order tracking.
- Collaborate closely with teams across Sales, Production, Planning, Quality, and Finance to guarantee timely and accurate order fulfilment.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders to align dispatch schedules with production timelines and customer expectations.
- Secure competitive freight rates through effective negotiation.
What Skills/Experience You Need
- 3-5 years of experience in export operations and customer service roles.
- Proven ability to manage multiple shipments efficiently, even in high-pressure situations.
- Familiarity with Incoterms is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional approach to customer and supplier interactions.
- Well-developed administrative, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central ERP is a plus.
- A proactive mindset to handle delays, customs challenges, and last-minute changes effectively.
- Ability to work with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
