You will have the opportunity to work with a leading consultancy which offer services in Civil, Environmental, Structural sectors, and are based in multiple locations throughout Ireland.

About Your New Job

The ideal candidate will be working with our well-established and growing Environmental and Planning Team on challenging and exciting infrastructure projects across various sectors (e.g., water services, transportation, flooding etc.).

Your tasks will include

• Work on diverse inputs for projects spanning various sectors, emphasizing the management of EIAs to obtain development consent.
• Collaborate with relevant people to recognize environmental constraints and develop solutions that align with the mitigation hierarchy while generating benefits where feasible.
• Contribute to business development prospects and associated technical and fee proposals.
• Advertise company’s environmental services to internal and external audiences.
• Work on projects utilizing GIS systems e.g. ArcGIS, QGIS

What Skills You Need

• Degree in science or Engineering with an environmental component.
• A minimum of three years post graduate experience in a consultancy environmental delivering environmental/planning services for large infrastructure projects
• Experience in compiling Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) reports on the likely impacts of proposed developments and recommending appropriate mitigation measures.
• Familiar with relevant Irish and European planning and environmental legislation e.g. EIA Directive and transposing Regulations.
• Knowledge of the Habitats Directive, and the Appropriate Assessment (AA) process
• Detailed knowledge of Irish Environmental and Planning Legislation
• Must have worked as part of a wider team with experience of managing deliverables to deadlines.
• Full clean driving licence.
