About Your New Job: Engineering Manager
Step into a senior leadership role at our Limerick Plant, reporting directly to the Plant Manager. As the Engineering Manager, you will:

  • Lead and Inspire: Drive safety excellence and align the plant with CRH’s 16 Rules and relevant legislation.
  • Team Management: Oversee engineers, supervisors, and tradesmen to ensure optimal plant performance.
  • Operational Excellence: Champion continuous improvement in safety, environmental, and operational practices.
  • Maintenance Leadership: Supervise short and long-term maintenance, plan annual shutdowns, and manage related budgets.
  • Project Oversight: Handle maintenance projects, manage plant control systems, and optimize local IT systems.
  • Talent Development: Recruit, develop, and retain top talent while maintaining industrial harmony.

What Skills You Need
To excel as an Engineering Manager, you should ideally possess:

  • A degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in a similar role or environment.
  • Proven technical expertise, strong project management skills, and strategic vision.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and deliver value-driven performance.
